What is The MMRA?

The Mid-Michigan Robotics Alliance is a  nonprofit education organization formed by same-minded individuals and FIRST Robotics teams to promote the advancement and development of science, technology, and education in the Mid-Michigan area.

MMRA Hosts FTC Kickoff Workshops

​The MMRA is hosting a series of FIRST Tech Challenge Workshops and informational sessions on the day of the FTC Kickoff. The workshop will take place at Kettering University in Flint. 

MMRA Teams Cruise at Flint's 
"Back to the Bricks"

Several Teams from the Mid-Michigan Robotics Alliance headed Downtown Flint for the annual "Back to the Bricks" Car cruise. 

Teams showed off their robots, worked to raise awareness  for FIRST and respect for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math-related careers.

FIRST Lego League Project

The Mid-Michigan Robotics Alliance came together to obtain funding for and start ten FLL teams within Flint Community Elementary Schools. The MMRA hosted a workshop to help the Teams' Coaches become better prepared for the up-coming season, and to pass along years of knowledge and skills.

What are the Goals of the MMRA?

· To promote the advancement of science, technology, engineering and math-related education by helping to organize and run local FIRST Robotics competitions and demonstrations

· Equip members of the FIRST community with skills, knowledge and guidance via workshops and training sessions

· Provide recognition of talented students, as well as dedicated teachers and mentors, who are committed to the FIRST Robotics Programs

· Encourage people of all ages to become involved in FIRST Robotics Programs at the Jr. FIRST LEGO League, LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition levels

· Obtain and raise funds to help financially sustain the Teams within the membership
